Inter were beaten 3-1 by Swiss second division side FC Chiasso in a friendly this evening.
The Nerazzurri were without a number of stars due to the international break, and fielded an experimental side for the match in the border town.
Coach Roberto Mancini initially opted for a back-three, with Danilo D’Ambrosio, Juan Jesus and Răzvan Popa.
However, the hosts took the lead on 24 minutes through Leonardo Malazzi, and Mancini switched to a back-four just 10 minutes later, dropping Alex Telles to left-back.
Mauro Icardi levelled things up seven minutes after the break, but a mistake from substitute goalkeeper Tommaso Berni allowed the Swiss side to regain the lead through Mariano Hassell.
Felipe Melo picked up a second half booking just before Icardi’s equaliser.
Berni’s evening went from bad to worse, when he failed to stop a Hassell free-kick with 15 minutes remaining.
