Cristiano Zanetti believes Roma and Fiorentina are equal teams, and the game will be decided by free kicks and counters.

The former midfielder played for both the Viola and the Giallorossi, and he sees no clear winner in Sunday's top-table clash.

“The different cup engagements aside, both teams are doing well and I can't see a favourite,” he told Tuttomercatoweb.

“Fiorentina mustn't allow [Miralem] Pjanic any free kicks. As for the Giallorossi, they must be careful with the sudden counters of the Viola.

“I don't think Roma would suffer if pressured, they have some good passers.

“Much depends on the first fifteen minutes, if Roma can weather them well, then they'll pick up courage.

“Fiorentina must not leave spaces behind them when defending. Their defence will have to close the gaps well, and dash back in attack just as well.”

Finally, Zanetti was asked whether ex-Fiorentina player Mohamed Salah would be affected by the response of his former supporters.

“He may suffer in the first five minutes, but then he's going to forget everything. I don't think it will affect him.”
