Reports suggest Napoli have made an official loan offer for Juventus defender Daniele Rugani.

The centre-back returned to the Bianconeri this summer, having been co-owned by the Turin giants and Empoli.

However, the Italian Under-21 international is yet to make a single Serie A appearance for the Old Lady, leading to suggestions he could be loaned out.

This morning, Il Mattino reports that Napoli have officially offered to take the 21-year-old on loan from January.

It’s not clear if Juve would be open to the move, which would reunite Rugani with Maurizio Sarri, with whom he worked at Empoli, so Manchester United’s Marcos Rojo is also on the shortlist.

Matias Vecino of Fiorentina and Benfica’s Bryan Cristante could also arrive in January, but Ivan Strinic, Juan Zuniga and Jonathan De Guzman are set for the exit.
