Line-ups: Inter-Roma

The top two face off as Inter host Roma with Stevan Jovetic and Adem Ljajic against Mohamed Salah and Edin Dzeko, but Mauro Icardi is dropped.

It kicks off at San Siro at 19.45 GMT, follow the action and build-up as it happens on our LIVEBLOG.

There are only two points separating these sides at the top of the table, as Roma leapfrogged the Nerazzurri to become new leaders last week.

Felipe Melo is suspended following his red card against Bologna, but Jeison Murillo returns from a one-match ban to bolster the defence.

Gary Medel was rested at the Stadio Dall’Ara and is back in midfield, while Ivan Perisic supports the returning Jovetic.

The big surprise is that Roberto Mancini drops star striker Icardi in favour of Ljajic, who faces his former teammates.

Geoffrey Kondogbia is also left out yet again with Fredy Guarin and Marcelo Brozovic chosen.

Roma continue to miss Francesco Totti, Seydou Keita and Kevin Strootman, but that hasn’t hurt their impressive Serie A form.

Daniele De Rossi went off injured a week ago and needed a late fitness test, so he is not rested at San Siro.

That means Douglas Maicon is confirmed at right-back with Alessandro Florenzi in midfield.

Salah also returns from suspension in the 4-3-3 formation with Dzeko and on-form Gervinho.

Inter have a notoriously terrible record against Roma. Home and away in all competition, they’ve won just one of the last 11 meetings.

Inter: Handanovic; D'Ambrosio, Miranda, Murillo, Nagatomo; Guarin, Medel, Brozovic; Ljajic, Jovetic, Perisic

Roma: Szczesny; Maicon, Manolas, Rüdiger, Digne; Florenzi, Nainggolan, Pjanic; Salah, Dzeko, Gervinho
