Official: Sannino out, Castori in at Carpi

Carpi have announced the sacking of Coach Giuseppe Sannino, who has been replaced by former boss Fabrizio Castori.

Sannino was appointed in the summer but has been relieved of his duties with the club bottom of Serie A after 11 rounds, having picked up six points.

Castori has been brought back into the fold after taking the side to their historic promotion last season, while technical adviser Goivanni Cusatis has also been fired.

“Carpi announce that they have relieved Giuseppe Sannino from his commitment as Coach of the first team and Giovanni Cusatis from the role of technical adviser,” read the club’s official statement.

“We thank both for their work.

“Simultaneously, we announce that Fabrizio Castori has been entrusted with role of first team Coach, and this afternoon he will take the training session.”
