Milan Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic describes the visit of Atalanta as “the most important game since the start of the season.”
The Rossoneri are on a three-match winning streak, and would go level with Napoli in fourth with a win tomorrow, at least temporarily.
“The fans are fundamental for us,” Mihajlovic said in his pre-match Press conference, as he called for a full San Siro.
“We’d like them to cheer like in the past, but we know we have to fire them up. These lads deserve a full stadium after the latest games.
“We know that tomorrow’s game is the most important since the start of the season, because it would allow us to go onto the pitch with more calmness.
“I hope they understand the importance of the match.”
Despite their recent good run of form, Mihajlovic cautioned his team not to get carried away.
“We have to continue like this. Against Lazio the team proved to be a united group, one with quality which also knows how to suffer.
“Looking at these results, there’s more applause and less criticism, but more balance in the judgements is needed.
“We weren’t bad before, and we’re not perfect now, we still have to work. We can’t say we’ve solved all our problems, we should neither celebrate or get down about one win.
“We’re on the right track. However, we know if we don’t win tomorrow, the criticism will return, and all the good we’ve done so far would come into question.
“We must not allow that, tomorrow is the most important game since the start of the season, we’re facing a tough team who we can’t afford to take lightly.
“I admire their Coach [Edy Reja] he’s experienced and capable, but I’ll do everything to beat him.
“We have some injured players, but I’m sure that those who come in will do just as well.”
