Ivan Perisic’s agent admits it was “very difficult” to conclude his client’s move from Wolfsburg to Inter.
The Croatian international finally completed a move to the Nerazzurri in the dying days of the summer transfer window, after protracted negotiations.
“It was very difficult for one reason: Wolfsburg didn’t want to sell him,” Tonci Martic explained to Tuttomercatoweb.
“[sporting director Piero] Ausilio, [director general Marco] Fassone and [chief scout Massimiliano] Mirabelli did an extraordinary job, never giving up on something that seemed lost.
“It took a long time, but we managed to be happy together. Ivan is content, happy at Inter.
“Inter changed a lot in the summer, with a lot of different players, it wasn’t easy to find an amalgamation but it went well.
“He’s found his position on the left-wing, but he can also play on the right as he’s a versatile player.”
