Sweden international Robin Quaison admits he “really did not expect” Palermo to sack Beppe Iachini.

The Sicilian club pulled the plug on Coach Iachini last week and brought in Davide Ballardini, much to the chagrin of players and fans.

“In all honesty, I really did not expect Iachini to be fired, as I consider him to be a great Coach,” Quaison told reporters after returning from international duty.

“In all honesty, I really did not expect Iachini to be fired, as I consider him to be a great Coach,” Quaison told reporters after returning from international duty.

“Now there’s Ballardini, so I am ready to work and learn with him. The principle difference is that now we’ll be playing with four at the back and will be more attacking.

“I am happy here, but there’s no news on a contract renewal. I just read things in the paper, but I have a deal until 2018 and I’m happy.”
