“Now I want to see the team I know I have, one that is decisive, determined and with a strong character. We must improve the table, which currently does not reflect our quality,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“We are not getting the results we deserve so far, but I want the team to face all remaining 26 games with the right spirit to get as many points as possible.

“Obviously if the season ended now, it’d be a total failure for everybody. It takes more than quality to succeed, but we have the time to turn things around.

“I certainly have responsibility for this too, because I am the one who trains the squad and chooses the players to send out on to the field.

“The team has talent, but in football the difference is often in the attitude, which we lacked recently. We can no longer afford to get the wrong attitude.”

This is a special game for Palermo too, as they make their debut under ex-Lazio Coach Davide Ballardini.

“Palermo have a lot of quality, but we are Lazio and we know full well what we want from this match,” added former Rosanero boss Pioli.
