The Moroccan has struggled with injuries so far this season and as a result has only made four league appearances this term.

Argentina international Banega is tipped by the paper to be a target to reinforce the midfield.

The 27-year-old’s contract with the La Liga outfit expires in June, meaning he could potentially leave for a cut-price fee in the winter window.

The playmaker has scored five times in 11 appearances in all competitions so far this season, including two Champions League goals against Borussia Monchengladbach.
