Torino President Urbano Cairo says his team 'needs no new signings', but promises 'more renewals are coming'.
The Granata club laid out new contracts for a wealth of their players recently, including Maxi Lopez, Bruno Peres, Giuseppe Vives, Cesare Bovo, Alessandro Gazzi and Emiliano Moretti, not to mention Coach Giampiero Ventura and director Gianluca Petrachi, but it's not over yet.
“We renewed some contracts, and we'll renew some more,” he told Tuttosport. “But I prefer to act first and make announcements later.
“I think it's important to keep walking on a path alongside people who have given and can still give very much to the Granata colours.
“Over time I learned that continuity pays off, but you've got to find the right people.
“Bologna? They are in a positive streak, but we want to keep up the good results after the game in Bergamo. We want this to be the beginning of something good.
“We don't need any new signing. I think that the returns of [Danilo] Avelar, Maksimovic and [Joel] Obi will count like new additions.
“It's nice to see the city under the spotlight in the world of sports,” he said, in reference to Turin's nomination as the European Capital of Sports 2015 by the ACES private federation. “All the more so when we consider that the Toro returned to the centre-stage and helped contribute to the city's success.
