Fabrizio Castori praised Carpi’s “intensity and refusal to give in” as they fought back for a 2-1 victory away to Genoa.

The minnows were playing against 10 men for practically the entire match, as Leonardo Pavoletti was sent off after six minutes for lashing out an elbow.

“I am happy and satisfied with the performance, as getting three points in Genoa is quite an achievement,” Castori told Sky Sport Italia.
