“I am disappointed, as we paid the price for using up so much energy in the Europa League on Thursday and Sassuolo were in better shape for the second half,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“It’s a shame, we could’ve gone 2-0 up, then got tired and were unable to get the ball before our opponents.

“The team worked very hard indeed, so there are regrets we only emerged with a point. We should’ve dealt with our fatigue better, as we didn’t take the two chances to double our lead.”

Rossi had his first start for a while, but seemed out of sorts.

“He is working to get back to his level. We want to help him and to achieve that he needs to play. He needs to be helped.”
