Vicenza Coach Pasquale Marino is proud of his players after their Coppa Italia exit - “the lads gave everything”.
The Lanerossi were beaten 2-1 by Serie A side Carpi at Stadio Alberto Braglia this evening, but the tactician can’t fault his players.
“We didn’t come into this match in the best condition,” Marino explained to Rai after the final whistle.
“We had a rather thin squad, but the lads I called gave everything. Apart from some careless moments we played a good match, I’m satisfied.
“We want to do well in the League, but we really wanted to do well in the Coppa too. The youngsters played well.
“[Davide] Bianchi played from the start for the first time, but he’s been training with the rest of the squad for some time and he already seems like a veteran.”
