Six out of eight of Milan’s players with expiring contracts will leave in the summer, according to reports.

Tuttosport writes today that the Rossoneri are unlikely to renew the deals of their two on-loan forwards, Mario Balotelli and Alessio Cerci, from Liverpool and Atletico Madrid respectively.

The newspaper believes this will be re-evaluated at the end of the season based on their performances, but that the chances of both staying are slim.

The newspaper believes this will be re-evaluated at the end of the season based on their performances, but that the chances of both staying are slim.

Alex, Philippe Mexes, Cristian Zapata and Antonio Nocerino could all be let go, with deals due to run out in June 2016.

The report says that only one of the three defenders could be given the chance to stay, but the club could prefer to make a saving on their high salaries.

Alex could move to Santos and Mexes continues to be linked with Fiorentina, while Nocerino will go on the market already in January.

The only two who look set to stay are Riccardo Montolivo and Christian Abbiati. Captain Montolivo appears set to renew, although the club want to offer him a lower salary than his current €3.5m per year.

As for veteran Abbiati, the report says that he will be given the choice as to whether to continue as third goalkeeper or to become a part of the goalkeeping coaching staff.
