Vladimir Petkovic warns Rudi Garcia and Stefano Pioli that “Rome is a very tough place for football, especially after a good first season.”
The former Lazio boss knows what he’s talking about, as he was fired after refusing to sign a new contract and agreeing terms for a future spell on the Switzerland bench.
“Rome is a very tough place for football, especially if you had a good first season,” Petkovic told the Corriere dello Sport.
“I think of what happened to me, but also Garcia at Roma and Pioli at Lazio right now.
“The atmosphere at both clubs creates a lot of expectation and this causes the problems.”
Both Garcia and Pioli are thought to be at risk of the sack, despite finishing second and third respectively last season.
