“This team was built to qualify for Europe and we must get there,” CEO Galliani told Mediaset Premium.

“I do not agree with those who say we don’t have enough quality. Milan have a lot of quality, taking into consideration what the other Italians teams have. I am not talking about the European giants, we have to measure ourselves up in Serie A.”

Galliani was asked about the rumoured problems between Mihajlovic and President Silvio Berlusconi.

“Anyone who arrives at Milan needs a little time to adapt to our way of being. Aside from that, Sinisa has a good rapport with the President and me. There has to be a slight adaptation process, like when you get together with a new wife.

“Sarri is doing very well at Napoli and he was one of the candidates for the Milan bench. We opted for Mihajlovic and do not regret that decision.”
