Reports suggest Bologna and Inter have agreed on a loan deal for defender Andrea Ranocchia.

The former Nerazzurri captain has been frozen out by Coach Roberto Mancini this season, making just one Serie A start.

According to Sky, the Rossoblu have struck a deal to take the centre-back on loan for the rest of the season, with no obligation to buy.

Bologna would pay Ranocchia’s wages until June, freeing the Beneamata to use his salary elsewhere, perhaps for a loan deal of their own.

However, the player is not thought to have agreed to the move yet, so both parties are waiting for Ranocchia’s decision before the move can go ahead.
