“We know that we need the perfect performance,” said the Coach in a Press conference.

It’s the first ever Serie A meeting between these clubs and Juve are on a run of six consecutive victories.

“We also know that it starts 0-0, we will play with pride and honour regardless of the differences in quality. We are not already beaten before we begin.

“Don’t forget we did well on home turf against Fiorentina and Inter. We’ll fight with every last drop of sweat. Tactically we must be smart, attacking Juve early so they don’t get the chance to be dangerous.

“Juventus have many champions, can rely on pace and technique, so it’s difficult to find a flaw in the team. All we can do is give it our all and have no regrets at the final whistle.”

Carpi are no strangers to causing upsets, as on Wednesday they won 1-0 away to Fiorentina, reaching the Coppa Italia quarter-finals.

“It’s not easy to win in Florence, as only Roma managed that in Italy this season. That victory was recognition for the hard work and dedication of the squad. Clearly we need a longer run of results to get out of the current Serie A position, but I have faith we will achieve that.”

Carpi squad for Juventus: Brkic, Belec; Letizia, Zaccardo, Gagliolo, Romagnoli, Spolli, Gabriel Silva; Cofie, Bianco, Lazzari, Di Gaudio, Pasciuti, Lollo, Martinho, Marrone; Matos, Borriello, Lasagna, Mbakogu
