Palermo confirmed a deal with Benfica to sign Bryan Cristante on loan with option to buy for €6m.
The former Milan youth team and Italy Under-21 international midfielder was struggling for playing time in Portugal.
“We are now on the final straight, so I can announce Palermo are working out the last details,” President Maurizio Zamparini told AlfredoPedulla.com.
“We will get him on loan with option to buy set at €6m.”

Still only 20 years old, Milan sold the Italian-Canadian to Benfica in September 2014 for €6m.
Palermo have also been linked with Cesena’s current Under-21 starlet Stefano Sensi.
