Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero celebrated the derby win, Antonio Cassano and will sell Eder and Roberto Soriano “if someone brings doubloons.”

The Blucerchiati were leading 3-0, but eventually squeezed past local rivals Genoa 3-2 this evening.

“The derby is a very special game and I suffered a lot in the stands,” he told Mediaset Premium.

“From 3-0 to 3-2, we were trembling. We couldn’t lose, but I never thought of emerging defeated. I think positive.”

Soriano scored twice with Eder, while Cassano provided the assists.

“Cassano can play standing still, he’s magnificent. Eder is mine and I’m keeping hold of him. Soriano will be with us because he can give a big hand to the team.

“The future? I say I won’t sell anyone, but if someone brings doubloons and the lad wants to leave, we’ll see.”

Vincenzo Montella struggled when joining Samp, but the Coach has now won two on the bounce.

“Montella is Montella, sweet as chocolate. First he was the Little Aeroplane, now he’s a Boeing. We will go far.

“I courted Montella for quite a while and have been pestering him. He’s like a beautiful woman, if you persist then sooner or later she’ll smile at you.”
