Paulo Sousa won’t hide from Fiorentina’s title ambitions after going top with a 3-1 victory at Palermo.
“The first half was played at an excellent level and when we had the chance to score a third goal, we slowed the tempo. After Palermo scored, we controlled them and finished off the game with a third,” Sousa told Mediaset Premium.
“It was not easy to resume after the Christmas break with a victory away from home.”

Fiorentina are temporarily top awaiting Empoli–Inter and Napoli–Torino.
“I just want the team to continue like this. At the start of the season I said this campaign would be more competitive compared to previous Serie A seasons.
“We need to improve the squad with more choices so we can rotate more often and keep everyone fresh. There is a clear idea of our style of football, I see the players happy with the situation.”
