Today Lazio director of sport Igli Tare confirmed they turned down a €50m offer from Manchester United on August 27, but insisted there had been no follow-up proposal.

“Will I be a Lazio player in February? I don’t know, I am concentrated on doing my job and doing well here, because I realise that I’m not going through a good period of form,” Felipe Anderson told Sky Sport Italia.

He found the net in this evening’s 3-1 victory away to Fiorentina, despite playing only the final minutes.

“I am fully aware that I need to stay calm and find my form, so that means patience even on the bench and cheering on my teammates.

“The game against Carpi was difficult, as they put everyone behind the ball. We proved our worth at San Siro against Inter and did it again today.

“This win is a gift for our fans. We have to work even harder.”
