Stephan El Shaarawy will reportedly join Roma for €14m within 48 hours, as Milan and Monaco confirm talks.
Mediaset Premium claim a deal will be completed by Monday evening for €2m with option to buy for €12m that must be activated after 10 matches.
The Little Pharaoh was originally sent to Monaco on a one-season loan for €3m with option to buy that would become mandatory after 25 games for another €13m.
However, he made 24 appearances and was then dropped.
“El Shaarawy is not part of the Coach’s plans,” Monaco President Vadim Vasilyev said on the official club website last night.
“We are currently in negotiations for his departure.”
Milan CEO Adriano Galliani also told television reporters that “we are in negotiations with Roma for El Shaarawy.”
