Around 300 fans were at the airport to welcome Ciro Immobile. “I am so moved, I want to begin again with Torino.”

It is widely reported in Italy that the striker will leave Sevilla on a six-month loan for €850,000 with option to buy at the end of the season for another €11m.

It is a comeback for the man who turns 26 next month, as he shot to fame for Toro by winning the Capocannoniere title in 2014 with 22 Serie A goals.

“I am so moved,” Immobile told Sky Sport Italia. “This welcome means I did something good here. I want to begin again with Torino and then I’ll think about the Nazionale.”

Big money transfers to Borussia Dortmund and Sevilla saw him fail to find regular playing time and lose confidence.

Now Immobile is set for a return to the Granata jersey and should take part in tomorrow morning’s training session.

Around 200 fans turned up to the Caselle Airport in Turin to greet him tonight.
