Alessio Cerci is closer than ever to joining Genoa, as Milan believe they’ve convinced a Qatari fund to give the green light.

Cerci is owned by Atletico Madrid and on an 18-month loan at Milan, but is struggling for playing time.

Adriano Galliani confirmed they agreed to loan the winger to Genoa for the rest of this season and the player agreed terms too.

The only hold-up is a Qatari fund who own part of his contract and have so far opposed the move.
