Milan have reportedly begun talks with Ajax for Anwar El Ghazi after Alessio Cerci’s move to Genoa was agreed.

Cerci is on loan at the Rossoneri from Atletico Madrid, but received the all-clear yesterday to complete a move to the Grifone.

This has freed up a space in the squad, although Calciomercato.com believe that the sale of Stephan El Sharaawy may also need to go ahead before El Ghazi can be signed.

This has freed up a space in the squad, although Calciomercato.com believe that the sale of Stephan El Sharaawy may also need to go ahead before El Ghazi can be signed.

The website reports that Milan have opened talks with Ajax for the winger in any case, making a first proposal of €6/7m plus bonuses.

The Dutch club are believed to value the 20-year-old at €10/11m, meaning that the opening offer falls some way short.

However, the report says that El Ghazi has already said yes to a move to San Siro and that the club have a four-and-a-half-year contract worth around €2m per season ready.
