Reports say Besiktas are no longer interested in signing Milan’s Diego Lopez because of his €5m per year salary demands. 

The 34-year-old has lost his place in the Rossoneri goal to 16-year-old Gianluigi Donnarumma this season and was thought to be heading for the exit.

However, Gianluca Di Marzio has reported today that Turkish club Besiktas have withdrawn their interest in the former Real Madrid man.

Reports say Besiktas are no longer interested in signing Milan’s Diego Lopez because of his €5m per year salary demands. 

The 34-year-old has lost his place in the Rossoneri goal to 16-year-old Gianluigi Donnarumma this season and was thought to be heading for the exit.

However, Gianluca Di Marzio has reported today that Turkish club Besiktas have withdrawn their interest in the former Real Madrid man.

Lopez was reportedly demanding €5m per year in wages, while the Istanbul-based club were offering the same amount he currently earns at San Siro.

With Besiktas now turning to Dnipro’s Denis Boyko instead, the outlet believes that the Spaniard is likely to remain in Milan until the end of the season.
