Palermo have officially confirmed the termination of ex-Coach Davide Ballardini’s contract.
In Italy, the common practice is to keep paying a sacked Coach’s wages for the duration of their contract, rather than negotiating a pay-off as is the norm elsewhere.
This allows clubs to bring back a tactician who has already been dismissed, as he’s already on the wage bill.
However, given the nature of Ballardini’s departure, club President Maurizio Zamparini revealed he was looking to terminate the contract, and today that move has been confirmed.
“Palermo officially announces that it has terminated the contract of Coach Davide Ballardini by mutual consent,” a statement on the Rosanero’s website announced.
