Levante have officially confirmed the loan signing of Giuseppe Rossi from Fiorentina, subject to a medical.
The forward has struggled to break into the Viola first team this season, and is leaving to find first-team football ahead of the European Championships this summer.
“Levante UD and UCF Fiorentina have reached an agreement in principle for the transfer of Giuseppe Rossi until the end of the season, pending the satisfactory completion of a medical examination,” a statement on the Spanish club’s website confirmed.
“The player is due to land in Valencia this afternoon, an announcement is coming soon on the time of his arrival at Manises airport.
“Rossi arrives at Levante after having spent the last three seasons at Fiorentina, playing a total of 41 matches and scoring 19 goals across the League, Europa League and Coppa Italia.
“The Italian striker returns to Spain after a spell with Villarreal CF, where he had the best stats of his career, totalling 192 matches and 82 goals.”
