Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi will reportedly avoid punishment for insulting Mario Mandzukic.
The Giallorossi vice-captain was caught on television appearing to describe the Juventus forward as “a damn gypsy” during a confrontation in last night’s match.
However, Calciomercato reports that television evidence will not be considered by the Lega Serie A disciplinary committee, so De Rossi will avoid a fine or suspension.
The Italian international also stood on Mandzukic’s toe, but was booked for the incident at the time and so will receive no further punishment.
The Lupi went on to lose 1-0 in Turin, with Paulo Dybala’s second half strike securing all three points for the Old Lady.
