'Vazquez ready for Manchester'

Ex-Palermo Coach Davide Ballardini believes Franco Vazquez “is ready for clubs like Liverpool, Manchester City or Manchester United.”

The tactician lasted just over a month in charge before he was sacked due to a blazing row with members of the team, above all captain Stefano Sorrentino.

“I will only say that everyone has his role. It is much more complicated to be a Coach than play football,” noted Ballardini on Mediaset Premium.

“It was an interesting squad with many young players who can do even better by the end of the season, such as Oscar Hiljemark, Ivaylo Chochev, Robin Quaison and Edoardo Goldaniga.

“Vazquez is ready for clubs like Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United.”

Italian-Argentine forward Vazquez has been heavily linked with Juventus, where he’d reunite with his old Palermo goal twin Paulo Dybala, Inter and Milan.

The 26-year-old has 13 goals in 71 Serie A games, but crucially 16 assists.
