Inter’s Andrea Ranocchia says ‘Euro 2016 is a motivation to come to Sampdoria’ ahead of his medical.
The former Nerazzurri captain is in Genoa to complete a switch to the Blucerchiati today after losing his place in the team at San Siro this season.
The centre-back told reporters that the desire to gain a place in Italy’s squad for this summer’s European Championships was one of his main motives behind the move.
“I’m happy to be here. Now we’ll do the medical and finish the final paperwork,” he told Gianluca Di Marzio.
“I spoke with the President, Osti and the Coach, they contacted me and convinced me.
“The Euros are absolutely a motivation to come here, I want to get myself back in the game and I already feel ready for Sunday, I’ve been training.”
