Following the incident, SportMediaset and Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli assured that it was only an impact injury, and the striker was taken off as a precaution.
Higuain has been a key impetus for Napoli’s Scudetto challenge, firing his side to the top of Serie A with 21 goals in 21 games.
