Torino have announced that River Plate striker Lucas Boyé will join them in June.
The 19-year-old spent last season on loan with Newells Old Boys, but will move to Serie A at the end of the current season.
“Torino Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Lucas Boyé, as of 1 July 2016,” a statement on Toro’s website read.
“Boyé was born in San Gregorio, Argentina on February 28, 1996. He came through the ranks at River Plate, making his debut in the Primera Division, and played for Newells Old Boys last season, making six appearances and scoring once.”
It's a surprise move, as River had previously claimed Boyé would move to Roma in the summer.
