Italian and Spanish football is mourning the death of transfer guru Ernesto Bronzetti.

The 68-year-old had been battling cancer for some time.

He was one of the world’s most famous FIFA agents, acting as an intermediary in some of the biggest transfer deals.

Bronzetti most regularly worked as a transfer consultant for Milan and Real Madrid, so was particularly close to Rossoneri CEO Adriano Galliani and Merengues President Florentino Perez.

He was also the man who brought a young Ricky Kaka to Milan from Brazil, while had involvement in the moves of Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, Luis Figo and even Coaches Arrigo Sacchi and Carlo Ancelotti.

“Today a man of football has gone, but above all a dear friend,” wrote Ancelotti on Twitter.
