Italy announce Finland friendly

Italy will play their final pre-Euro 2016 test against Finland on June 6.

A venue has not yet been confirmed for the friendly match, but it will kick off on Monday June 6 at 19.45 GMT.

It will be the 13th meeting between these two nations on a football field.

So far the Azzurri have lost only once, the first in Sweden’s Olympic Games on June 6 1912, along with 10 victories and a draw.

Their most recent encounter was a friendly in Messina on November 17 2004, decided 1-0 by Fabrizio Miccoli’s strike.

In the build-up to Euro 2016, Italy will host Spain at the Dacia Arena in Udine on March 24, then visit World Cup holders Germany in Munich on March 29.
