Inter director Piero Ausilio “really liked the team” in their 1-0 win over Chievo.

The Nerazzurri ended their negative streak with a slender victory, though it would’ve been more if not for the heroics of goalkeeper Andrea Seculin.

“The important thing was to win and we achieved it,” Ausilio told Rai Sport.

The director of sport spoke to the media because Coach Roberto Mancini sat out a touchline ban.

“I have to say I really liked the team tonight, as they played well and created so many chances. There was just a bit of worry at the end, considering what happened in recent games, but we did it.

 

“I believe this team has a lot of quality and the Coach tries to get everyone involved. It’s only right that everybody gets their chance.”
