Adem Ljajic says “I hope to stay at Inter” and hopes they can put together a run of victories.

The Serbian international is on loan with the Nerazzurri from Roma, but it’s not certain he’ll stay at San Siro beyond this season.

“I hope to stay at Inter but it's still too soon to say,” Ljajic told Inter Channel.

“What matters is the team plays well. The management will make that call but I'd like to stay and I hope I can.

“I get on really well with my team-mates and the coach, first and foremost we've got a great group.

“I've got a good relationship with the supporters, just like with all my team-mates. Football wouldn't exist without them, the sport is made for the fans. I hope they come and cheer us on every weekend.”

The Beneamata picked up their first win in four Serie A games against Chievo last night, and Ljajic hopes it will reignite their Scudetto challenge.

“You go through tough times in football. Other clubs' form dropped off a bit over the first three or four months and it's happened to us recently.

“We must keep working well in training every day to come through it. I hope yesterday's victory can help to spark a winning run.

“Lots of teams close down the space well against us and we have to find a way of winning games.”
