Llorente: ‘Italy too tactical’

Fernando Llorente recalls his “positive” experience with Juventus, but says “tactical rigour is predominant” in Italian football.

The Spanish striker spent two seasons in Turin, before leaving this summer to join Sevilla on a free transfer.

“I’m happy on a personal level,” Llorente explained to Sportium News.

“I’ve found some great teammates, and the fans welcomed me with love from day one.

“I’ll never forget the day of my presentation, there were over 10,000 people in the stands. It was amazing.

“I arrived in Seville late, and with a niggle which stopped me from starting well. I can give more, I’m not yet at the level I was a few years ago, but I’ll get there, I’ll do my best.

“I hope to score a lot of goals in the next few games.

“Juventus? It was a very positive experience.

“Italian football? In Italy tactical rigour is predominant, here things are changing for the better in that regard. The training sessions are more difficult.”
