Giorgio Chiellini will skip the games against Napoli and Bayern Munich as Juventus officially confirm a 20 day recovery period.
The defender was injured last Sunday against Frosinone, and his conditions had already prompted speculations as to how Coach Max Allegri would play without him.
The Bianconeri have now confirmed it will take 20 days before Chiellini is back on the pitch, meaning that he will skip next Saturday's game against Napoli as well as the Champions League round-of-the-last-sixteen against Bayern Munich.
“Giorgio Chiellini, who was subbed off during the game against Frosinone, underwent his medical exams today,” the statement reads.
“The exams revealed an injury to the triceps surae muscle of the right leg. It will take about 20 days for him to start athletic activity again.”
