Roma could get Juan Manuel Iturbe and Seydou Doumbia back, as Bournemouth and Newcastle don’t seem eager to make the moves permanent.

The pair moved to England in January on loan deals with options to buy that would become mandatory after a certain number of appearances.

However, Calciomercato.it points out neither made an impact at their new clubs and could well be sent back to base at the end of the season.

Iturbe made just two appearances for Bournemouth, one in the FA Cup on January 30 and one in the Premier League on January 12, for a grand total of 102 minutes of football.

Doumbia only joined Newcastle United on transfer deadline day, so hasn’t really had a chance to play regularly.

He had been sent out to CSKA Moscow on loan with option to buy last term, but the Russian side sent him back to Roma.

Now the Giallorossi fear being ‘stuck’ with the Ivory Coast international again.
