Fiorentina Coach Paulo Sousa has reportedly made peace with the club after a meeting with President Mario Cognigni.

The Portuguese tactician was unhappy after a disappointing January transfer window and rumours had emerged that he could leave at the end of the season.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports today that Cognigni met with Sousa yesterday and has calmed the waters between the parties.

The Coach reportedly asked for and received an explanation about the transfer market dealings, while Cognigni asked Sousa to avoid internal friction with the club’s directors and owners.

Viola owner Andrea Della Valle will return to Florence on Friday, but only to encourage the team ahead of the key clash with Inter rather than to engage in further talks.
