“The President changed the entire direction the club had gone in over the summer, there was a return to the original project that took us up from Serie B,” Romairone told Mediaset Premium.

“We went back, to a more humble, genuine and Spartan football. This was the winning formula in the past and it’s the only type of football we can play here.

“We take it day by day, this is the only thing we can do, not look at the table or the fixture list. Lately results haven’t been coming, but we played in a dignified manner.

“Everyone must give their best in their specific role, then we’ll see where we are at the end.”
