Daniele De Rossi will have a scan on his calf injury tomorrow, with fears he could be out for three weeks.

The Roma midfielder had been sidelined with the injury before yesterday’s Champions League game with Real Madrid, and wasn’t deemed fit enough to play from the start.

However, the Italian international came off the bench in the course of the 2-0 defeat, and appeared to aggravate the injury.

De Rossi will have scans tomorrow, but Sky and Mediaset are reporting that the prognosis is not good, and the Giallorossi vice-captain could be out for up to three weeks.

That would see the Italian international miss the games against Palermo, Empoli and Fiorentina, but he could be back for the second leg with Real Madrid.
