“It’s a good result, but it could’ve been even better,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“We had the chances to punish the Turkish team and could’ve done something more. I liked the response from the team to going behind, because I know the quality of my team.

“We interpreted the match with the right spirit, even if we made a mistake on the goal. We’re on the right track, but have to be wary because Galatasaray are a good level opponent.

“I think both teams played with great intensity. I saw the team with a good attacking intent and we had lots of opportunities. With a little more determination we could’ve brought home the victory.

“The lads did what I asked them to before the match. The important thing is to dictate the tempo and not be passive. We have the ideas and the quality, we’ve overcome a difficult moment in the campaign.

“It wasn’t easy to put in this performance in this venue, so I liked the performance. Undoubtedly we are behind in Serie A, though we can still recover and have to believe to the end.

“We want to go as far as possible in Europe, as this is a prestigious competition. We want to prove we can compete at a certain level.”
