Francesco Totti's renewal is in doubt as the Roma captain finds himself marginalised under new Coach Luciano Spalletti.
The 39-year-old recently recovered from an injury and was only allowed to play in the last few minutes in the Giallorossi's Champions League bout against Real Madrid.
After the game, some journalists approached him and he told them: “What are you still talking to me for?”
Spalletti recently suggested he can do without the striker, arguing, “I coach Roma, and not Totti.”
The Pupone's contract expires this summer and the Gazzetta dello Sport reports that he is expecting President James Pallotta in March to discuss the possibility of a renewal.
Should his prospects as a player be too limited, Totti may shift to a six-year contract as a Giallorossi director, staying in the courts of the club in a different role.
