The first leg in the Round of 16 kicks off tomorrow at 19.45 GMT in Turin.

“I think last week we already proved that we can do well even without the injured players. Obviously we’d like to have everyone available for every game, but the current situation is not easy,” he said in a Press conference.

“We must try to face the difficulties and I think it’s important to maintain this character, this teamwork and use those to be stronger than the individual absences.”

It’s fair to say the Dutch international has dealt with his own fair share of injury problems too.

“I feel good and I am improving game by game. I am satisfied with my condition, but perhaps what I miss is a goal. It always takes a little bit of luck and in the last two games that’s all I was missing.

“I am not worried, the important thing is to play for the team, do my part and make sure somebody scores for Bayern.”

Robben was asked how Bayern will try to combat star striker Paulo Dybala.

“He is not the only one in good shape, so we have to stop the entire Juventus team. They have very well-defined tactics, so we can prepare well for this match.

“We know they have very talented players who can make the difference, so we must be prepared.

“It’s a very important match for Mario Mandzukic and it will be interesting for him. We are happy to see him again, as naturally he was in the squad that won the Treble.

“We’ll do everything to stop him, because he will try to move the game to Juve’s favour. We’ll keep an eye on him.”
