Lorenzo Insigne and Edinson Cavani try to make Milan’s season even worse tonight in Naples against a completely reshuffled defence and attack.

This was meant to be a Scudetto showdown, but instead the Rossoneri are plummeting down the standings in 13th place.

Napoli must do without Goran Pandev and the suspended Valon Behrami, so Under-21 international Insigne is the partner for on-form Cavani and Juan Camilo Zuniga returns from injury.

Milan have bigger problems picking a line-up, especially in defence where Luca Antonini, Ignazio Abate, Daniele Bonera and Djamel Mesbah are injured.

Massimo Ambrosini is also suspended with Sulley Muntari sidelined, so Massimiliano Allegri has few options.

Francesco Acerbi and Kevin Constant are in the back four, but surprisingly both Alexandre Pato and Giampaolo Pazzini are dropped in favour of Kevin-Prince Boateng and Bojan Krkic.

The Rossoneri have a poor record at the San Paolo, winning here only once since Napoli’s return to Serie A in 2007.

Napoli: De Sanctis; Campagnaro, Cannavaro, Gamberini; Maggio, Inler, Dzemaili, Hamsik, Zuniga; Cavani, Insigne

Milan: Abbiati; De Sciglio, Mexes, Acerbi, Constant; Montolivo, De Jong, Nocerino; Boateng, Bojan, El Shaarawy
