Milan CEO Adriano Galliani is “very happy” that Stephan El Shaarawy has found his form at Roma.
The Little Pharaoh moved on loan with option to buy for €13m in January after Monaco released him early from a similar deal.
“I am very pleased by Stephan El Shaarawy’s performances. He would not have played any more at Monaco, so it was only right to safeguard the future of this player.”
Today the Italy international scored twice in Roma’s 3-1 victory away to Empoli.
“Roma were the only important club who wanted him. He’s doing well there, we are happy,” Galliani told Mediaset Premium.
“It’s true they are our rivals for European qualification, but we are happy anyway, as his move there has also done a service for the Nazionale.
“If he had never played, as he did in Monaco, then he would never have been available to Antonio Conte.”
